The Director of Lease Administration will ensure lease compliance for the company?s portfolio of lease. This role develops formal policies and procedures to accomplish divisional goals of fiscal responsibility and compliance. This role works closely with other managers of other departments to foster understanding of lease requirements and Landlord obligations. Responsibilities: Oversees the lease abstraction process, performed by the Lease Administration Specialist(s), which is the summarization of all critical dates, rental obligations, non-financial obligations and other important information into the Lease Management database (AMTdirect). Develops policies and procedures for the efficient and effective management of lease documentation. Analyzes specific and complex lease language for fiduciary compliance with lease requirements and acts accordingly. Collaborates with the head of retail, VP of finance for retail, outside contractors and outside counsel with lease negotiation to ensure the best possible deal is captured and can be administered easily.. Monitors industry information to identify macro events and trends that may impact existing and future leases Responsible for reviewing and approving lease-required rental invoices for accuracy, compliance and reasonableness. Qualifications: Must hold at least a Bachelor?s Degree in a related field (e.g. Business, English, Legal Studies, Accounting). Must have demonstrated ability to read complex, diverse lease language and understand key terminology. Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word. Must have Lease Management database experience (e.g. MRI, Accruent, AMTdirect, Virtual Premise) Must have at least 10 years? experience in lease management, lease administration or lease accounting, or any combination thereof.
